Center for Spiritual Awareness is a diverse, interfaith spiritual community in West Sacramento, California. Rooted in the teachings of Dr. Ernest Holmes and the principles of the Science of Mind, we gather to celebrate life, support one another, and honor every path that leads toward greater awareness and love.

CSA is not a place that tells you what to think. We believe that every person carries an innate capacity for wisdom, growth, and healing — and our role is simply to support that journey.
We do not proselytize, evangelize, or seek to convert. We welcome people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and spiritual histories. What unites us is a shared commitment to positive, life-affirming thinking and the power of community.

CSA is a New Thought spiritual community, rooted in the principles of the Science of Mind as taught by Dr. Ernest Holmes. We draw from a broad tradition that includes thinkers like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Walt Whitman, and contemporary voices like Michael Beckwith, Wayne Dyer, and Eckhart Tolle.
We welcome people of all religious backgrounds, spiritual histories, and life experiences. You do not need to leave your faith at the door — or have one at all. What you will find here is a community that celebrates independent thinking, personal growth, and the shared journey toward greater awareness.
No, not at all. CSA is affiliated with the Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL), a global network of New Thought communities. We have no connection to Scientology.
Our youth programming is designed to nurture children as the spiritual beings they already are. Sessions focus less on talking and more on doing — crafts, games, and activities that celebrate their spirit and help them connect to their own inner wisdom. Each week, children leave with an affirmation to carry with them.
We believe children come into this world already knowing something important. Our job is to help them remember it.
Licensed Practitioners are trained members of our community who have completed at least five years of study in Science of Mind principles. They offer spiritual coaching and prayer support — available on Sundays after service, and by private appointment throughout the week.
Working with a Practitioner is a personal, fee-based service. It is not counseling or therapy, but spiritual support rooted in prayer and the affirmative principles we teach.
No. Giving is always voluntary at CSA. We welcome everyone who walks through our doors, regardless of financial contribution. If and when you feel moved to give, we are grateful. It is never a condition of belonging.
