For the past 38 years, Celebration Arts Theater Company has continuously offered remarkable plays in an intimate setting. During their annual theater season, they showcase some of the nation’s top award-winning Black playwrights of the Black experience. The Mission of Celebration Arts is to provide training and performance opportunities to underserved communities, particularly African-American residents in the Sacramento Metropolitan Area. And they are located right here in our own backyard! This is a must-see event.
We’re planning to sit together as a group on Sunday, June 23rd. The play starts at 2pm so plan to have a quick lunch after church then head to the Theater. After the play, there will be a talkback (Q&A.)
