Near Pilot Hill on Hwy 49 between Auburn and Shingle Springs
Magnolia Ranch Trailhead will take us along the 2.5 mile Gerle Loop Trail which is an easy to moderate, mostly flat trail across rolling hills and oak woodlands with scenic views. We can take the River Trail down to the American River for even more spectacular views right along the shore.
Use your GPS to guide you to the Trailhead parking lot either via either I-80 or Hwy. 50. Informal carpools will leave CSA at 8:00 a.m. and Golfland/Sunsplash in Roseville at 8:15 a.m. or meet us there at 9am. Plenty of parking. Bring water and wear hiking shoes. May need sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and mosquito repellent. We may eat lunch after the hike.
