CSA is hosting our 4th Annual Juneteenth event “Celebrating Our Freedom Through the Arts” on Sunday, June 21st, from 1-4 pm, at CSA. Juneteenth commemorates the announcement of freedom for 250,000 enslaved people in Texas, the last remaining bastion of slavery after the Civil War ended. This free event features hands-on arts activities like painting, dancing, film, a song circle, and more. During this celebration we honor the resilience of Black Americans and reflect on the ongoing journey toward true equality and racial justice in the U.S. For questions, see or contact Rev. Brynde’ Lambert.
